Heraldic Beasts from Nessie to Biscione – A look at some of the imaginary beasts which roam the undergrowth of Scottish and Italian heraldry.  The talk will be illustrated with dozens of examples from the Public Register.

Along with the Lord Lyon and his fellow Officers of Arms, Rothesay Herald served at the Service of Thanksgiving for the Life of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, Edinburgh, at the State Funeral of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, London, in September 2022;  at the Coronation of Their Majesties

King Charles III and Queen Camilla, London, in May 2023;  and at the National Service of Thanksgiving and Dedication for Their Majesties The King and Queen on the occasion of the Presentation of the Honours of Scotland , Edinburgh, in July 2023.  He is a professional musician and teacher, having taught at the Universities of Glasgow and Edinburgh, the former Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama and St Aloysius’ College.
