Quarterly, 1st & 4th, [Azure]; an Aesculpian rod in pale between a lancet on the dexter and a poppy slipped and seeded on the sinister all Proper; 2nd, [Or]; a lion rampant [Gules] armed and langued [Azure] within a double tressure flory counterflory of the Second (Scotland); 3rd, [Argent]; on a mount in base [Vert] an oak tree Proper, the stem at the base thereof surmounted of a salmon on its back also Proper with a signet ring in its mouth [Or], on the top of the tree a redbreast and in the sinister fess point an ancient handbell, both Proper (City of Glasgow )
